La candidate Pre 33 découverte par Trygve Prestgard, vient d'être classée comme proto-nébuleuse planétaire (PPN) sur le site de l'AAVSO. Cet objet a quitté sa phase asymptotique de géante (AGB) mais n'est pas encore une nébuleuse planétaire. La variabilité de Pre 33 est clairement exposée dans le graphique joint.
